Dr. Astghik Poghosyan, who holds a Ph.D in Economics, is a full-time lecturer at Wenzhou Business College. With over three years of academic experience and for more than a decade in managerial roles, she seamlessly integrates expertise in management, finance, and strategic operations to enrich her teaching. She teaches subjects within the field of Core Economics, including Finance and Markets, Development and Sustainability, Applied and Quantitative Economics, and other specialized areas.

In 2023, Dr. Poghosyan co-authored the manual “Financial Management in Universities: Theoretical and Practical Approach.” This manual draws on her research and academic publications, including, but not limited to, “The Relationship between Normative Accounting and Cost Control for Educational Services in Universities” (History and Political Science, 2020), “Control of Educational Tuition Fees Formation in Universities” (Finance and Accounting, 2021), “Issues of Financial Control Information Provision in Universities” (Finance and Accounting, 2021), and “Issues of Development of the Financial System in Higher Professional Education in RA” (Finance and Accounting, 2022).

Alongside her academic career, during which she also worked as a lecturer and researcher at Northern University, Dr. Poghosyan has held significant managerial positions continuously for over a decade. In 2013, she earned the Junior Civil Servant Certificate and was invited to serve as an expert at the Ministry of Economy of Armenia. She later joined one of Armenia’s leading insurance companies. For more than seven years, she held the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Head of Finance and Human Resources at CIS Armenia (Cambridge International School), where she developed budgets, managed cash flow, and took responsibility for the educational institution’s financial and operational oversight.

Dr. Poghosyan’s achievements include, but are not limited to, earning a “Business Process Building Diploma” from Laba International Business School and a “Financial Analysis and Analytics Certificate” from the University of Oxford in 2023, as well as a “Financial Modeling Diploma" from Laba in 2022. Additionally, she holds certifications in labor legislation, recruitment, accounting, and tax legislation, further enhancing her professional expertise.
